Las Nubes is located on top of a mountain above the South Pacific Coast. It’s straight above the village of Matapalo, on the coastal highway between Quepos and Dominical. Although being on top a mountain has numerous advantages (it’s cooler, it’s calmer, it’s in the middle of nature), getting here easy isn’t one of them. You need a 4x4 to do the steep ride up.
Taxi service from and to Matapalo can be arranged at any time. For an airport transfer please contact us at least 2 days in advance.

 

Do not follow your navigation because you will end up on the wrong road.
 

Coming form Quepos:

Take the road to Dominical. After 20 km you will see the 'Playa Matapalo' sign. Immediately after the bridge (Rio Matapalo), take the dirt road on your left. (indication SAN ANDRES) Follow this road up the mountain for 7 km. (4x4!). Always keep left!
 

Coming form Dominical:

Take the road to Dominical. After 20 km you will see the 'Playa Matapalo' sign. Just before the bridge (Rio Matapalo), take the dirt road on your right. (indication SAN ANDRES) Follow this road up the mountain for 7 km. (4x4!). Always keep left!
